We’re going to take a little break from food recipes today and, instead, go over a recipe for a cleaning solution. I think many of us enjoy the pretty smelling cleaning solutions we can easily buy at any given store, BUT, does it just smell good, or is it really, really cleaning? When I use this Dawn White Vinegar Home Cleaning Solution, to me, it feels so CLEAN! And, I love that vinegar is a natural ingredient vs chemicals.
This solution is particularly good for cleaning things such as; bathroom sinks, showers, tubs, etc.. The Dawn helps to cut through any grime and the vinegar dissolves the mineral buildup and things like soap spots. It should not be used on any porous surfaces, such as raw wood, or stone products because of the acidity in the vinegar. I do use it on some painted wood surfaces, such as bathroom baseboards and cabinet fronts and have not had any issues.
But, will it leave my house smelling like a salad, you may ask. It does temporarily smell like vinegar, BUT the vinegar smell dissapates and you are left with clean…clean smelling…clean feeling…simply clean. And, a plus is that things, (sinks, etc.) seem to stay clean longer. I believe this is because the fixtures are actually clean and not simply covered up, or semi-clean.
HELPFUL HINTS FOR DAWN WHITE VINEGAR HOME CLEANING SOLUTION.
If the solution separates in the bottle between uses, simply give it a little shake.
I use a small plastic funnel to pour the solution into the bottle.

- Dawn dishwashing detergent – original
- White vinegar
- Essential oils, if desired
